Why is this course not available as an online course?Read more
Learning a new skill is not always simple and you need support and practice if you want to be able to successfully start a new career from scratch. Yes, you can learn certain theoretical aspects of a new job online but let's be honest it is rarely fun or effective and it certainly will not give you the hands-on experience you need if you are serious about your career ambitions.
Maybe the following example will make it clearer why taking an online course will not prepare you for a job in the hotel industry:
Ask yourself "Can you really learn to drive a car by completing a simple online course?" Most certainly not! You have to physically sit in the car, feel what it is like to steer and drive on the roads and learn what challenges you may face; the instructor safely by your side to give you a helping hand and guidance when needed. The same can be said about wanting to learn and become a Hotel Reservations Agent. It may look simple but it requires a lot of skill and training to make it look effortless.
Remember, once employed by a hotel you will be working with a very expensive hotel software and real paying guests. No hotel will allow you to do so just because you completed a simple online course. Practicing on real paying guests, without having received the right professional training beforehand, can damage a hotels' reputation and your confidence. At Reception Academy we will help you build both, strong practical experience and confidence which will not only get you the job but help you to build the career you are aspiring to.
Our Hotel Reservations Agent & Opera PMS Hotel Software classroom course is not only approved by some of the biggest hotel names in the world but also endorsed by the reputable and well trusted Institute of Hospitality.
We operate on a "not for profit" basis and we are greatly supported by our partner hotels, allowing us to keep the course fees as low as possible and enabling you to start a new career at a price that most training companies charge for a two day course. Remember, valuable classroom training provided by caring trainers, using a sophisticated hotel operating software can never be replaced by generic online training that is essentially delivered by a machine and does not include hands-on experience on Opera PMS.

I have just successfully completed the course as Reservation Agent and I can say that there is no better choice in the training overview sector for those who want to enter the industry as highly qualified and recognized by recruiters, further confirmation of friends of mine who have suggested to me this course, founding a work placement after a very short time they have attended it; as proof of this, my classmates themselves started the first interviews already before terminating the course. Apart being a great business card that offers many opportunoties of choice and career, the course is really useful, interesting and strictly aimed/oriented to learning by doing guests' needs in order to convert them easily in operative procedures for the Departments involved with the PMS Opera software. Moreover I found excellent the staff's teaching method, whose I really appreciated effort, commitment, enthusiasm and great passion for the work conducted. I take the opportunity to thank everyone I knew at Reception Academy about the generosity and the availability, and again for a kind and unexpected surprise they reserved to me. Thank you, thank you so much. SalvoWritten
Best investment so far to start your career in the hospitality world. (I found my job after 6 days when I finished the course). A very big thank you to my top trainers Ramin and Pierre for being so well prepared, professional, kind and patience with all of the group. Hope to see you again!Written
I attended the PMS Software Reservation Agent course. I am satisfied with what I learned. Although I first thought that there was too much time to learn what we had to learn, I soon found out that a reservation agent has a lot to know and I think that one month was probably the optimal time to learn it.
The only thing I would add is that there should maybe be a manual available that would explain important tasks, concepts and their purpose.
The staff is very polite, accommodating and professional. The offices are equipped with everything that's needed - computers, PMS software and drinks.
All in all, I am glad that I took this course and I am confident that it will be a great addition to my CV.Written
