This 5 Day intensive course is a shorter version of Reception Academy’s market leading Hotel Receptionist Course which includes Opera PMS. Similar to the full course it covers theory and all the relevant techniques to operate the most used reservation system, (Fidelio Opera V5 Full Service). The course is designed to help you understand the all important skills required to work in major Hotels in the UK & abroad.
Most job applications for Hotel Receptionists require experience with Fidelio Opera PMS as it is used by majority of the Hotels. Whilst this course is suitable for applicants with no previous reception experience looking to work in high end Hotels, it is especially useful for anyone looking to build an effective CV, including Hospitality University students.
This shorter course is ideal for individuals with limited time to dedicate to studying. Also those who have perhaps worked in smaller Hotels here in UK or abroad and want to learn Opera PMS as well as refresh their customer service knowledge.
Once you are taught the theory of standard procedures, we give you access to an individual computer, where you learn to implement them on the programme called Opera PMS. Throughout the training every student has access to an individual computer, meaning you do not have to share a computer.
You will use it to create bookings, process cancellations, carry out amendments, complete check-ins and check-outs, check availability, understand rates, read the rate grid, use function keys, exchange foreign currencies etc. . At the end of the course you will have a clear understanding of UK Hotel procedures and brand-standards and able to run the system efficiently once you start working in hotels.
Upon completion of the course we help you register for employment and advise you on successful interview skills.
